Name Change

Surebroadband has changed its name to Pure Broadband.

The network has grown massively over the last year or so and we have realised that one of the main reasons for our success is the fact that no telephone line is needed. We deliver pure broadband, hence the name.

We still have the same aspirations, to provide the Hull and East Yorkshire region with the best broadband for the lowest prices. Doing this whilst maintaining independence from the incumbent Hull provider is of paramount importance to us.

The logo will remain the same, as will the ownership and staff. It is simply the name having the slight change. The company will retain its original company number so all contracts terms etc will carry on as no legal change has taken place. Payments will remain the same so nothing will need changing at your bank end. We will however be introducing direct debits over the coming months to streamline our payment systems. We will post or email each customer a direct debit mandate for them to fill in and return to us. This will be a steady process, transferring a small number of customers over each month.

We will also be issuing logins for our usage system which will also have numerous other features.

The light package usage limit of 30 Gb will be increased to 50 Gb. We will however be more strict about this usage. If you are a light user and your limit is reached your internet will automatically be restricted to 0.5 Mbps until the end of that month or you can pay and upgrade till the end of that month. Users need to be aware of the applications they use as usage does include upload as well as download. For example torrents not only deliver you the content you are downloading but they also “seed”, this means your connection will be distributing back to other users around the Web.

Any and all copyright infringement notices we receive going forward will be passed straight on to the end user and they will have to deal with this direct with whichever governing body. We will not assist customers with this as what you choose to do with your connection is up to you and we will not aid illegal users.

You will see various changes taking place until the name Surebroadband is totally phased out which will be by 1st August 2013 at the latest. These will be things like the Facebook page changing name and so on.

Another positive is we are now changing the recommend a friend scheme so we will knock £10 off your bill for each customer that is recommended and installed. Please make sure the new customer tells us your name at the point of booking. Letting us know after install will result in not been paid. You will be able to recommend up to 5 customers per  month. All this new information will be available on the website shortly.

There will be a new Pure Broadband website going live soon too. This will have a new fresh look and will have an important page labelled “downloads”. On this page will be all sorts from video tutorials for setting up routers to information on how to make the most of your connection. The website will be found on www.purebroadband.net and www.purebroadband.co.uk
